NCIS: New York Brings Sam Hanna Home for a New Mission

Sam Hanna is back and he's heading home.

LL COOL J returns to the NCIS universe in NCIS: New York, reprising his longtime role as Special Agent Sam Hanna for a new chapter that brings him back to his hometown.

After years of special assignments and covert operations, Sam's return to New York quickly becomes personal when his friend and Navy reservist Jack Halloway is found dead.

Determined to discover what happened, Sam asks Assistant Special Agent-in-Charge Robyn Wells (Jennifer Beals) for permission to investigate.

But he'll have to do it with a new team.

Sam is partnered with the roguish Nick Schaeffer (Scott Caan), who introduces him to fellow agents Wyatt Sellers (Shane Harper), Addy Ross (Jacqueline Byers) and hacker-turned-computer specialist Sean Sullivan (Devin Druid).

Together, they begin piecing together the circumstances surrounding Halloway's death and searching for those responsible.

For longtime NCIS fans, the series also marks another chapter for a character who has been part of the franchise for years. LL COOL J starred as Sam throughout the 14-season run of NCIS: Los Angeles before later appearing on NCIS: Hawaiʻi.

Now Sam has a new city, a new team and a case that hits much closer to home.

NCIS: New York premieres Tuesday, October 6 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT on CBS and will also stream on Paramount+.
