About NCIS
NCIS Season 24 Brings Tony DiNozzo Back
One of NCIS' most familiar faces is coming home.
Michael Weatherly returns as Tony DiNozzo for Season 24, bringing the fan-favorite character back to the series where his story began.
Weatherly was part of NCIS from its earliest days, starring as Special Agent Anthony “Tony” DiNozzo and becoming a key member of the original team. His humor, instincts and sometimes unpredictable personality helped make DiNozzo one of the franchise's most recognizable characters.
Season 24 continues to follow the current NCIS team led by Special Agent Alden Parker (Gary Cole), a former FBI agent known for approaching investigations with calm professionalism and a sharp sense of humor.
Parker's team includes longtime agent Timothy McGee (Sean Murray), undercover specialist Nick Torres (Wilmer Valderrama) and former REACT agent Jessica Knight (Katrina Law).
Medical examiner Jimmy Palmer (Brian Dietzen) and forensic scientist Kasie Hines (Diona Reasonover) also continue assisting the team as they investigate crimes connected to members of the Navy and Marine Corps.
But DiNozzo's return creates an interesting connection between two very different eras of NCIS.
Exactly how he'll fit into Parker's team and what brings Tony back into the action gives longtime viewers another reason to watch when the series returns.
NCIS Season 24 airs Tuesdays at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT on CBS and will also stream on Paramount+.
