Treasure Island Sets Sail for a New Adventure

Everyone wants Captain Flint's treasure.

Unfortunately for Jim Hawkins, he's the one holding the information that could lead them to it.

Treasure Island reimagines Robert Louis Stevenson's classic adventure as a six-part series following teenage Jim Hawkins and his formidable mother, Bess, as they're pulled into a dangerous race for a legendary fortune.

Set in 1788, the story begins when Jim comes into possession of a treasure map connected to the infamous pirate Captain Flint.

Suddenly, Jim and Bess become extremely valuable to some very dangerous people.

Their journey takes them aboard the Hispaniola, where they find themselves caught between two men with very different plans for Flint's gold.

David Oyelowo stars as Long John Silver, a charming but ruthless pirate whose ability to survive is matched only by his talent for manipulating those around him.

On the other side is Aaron Graham (Jack Huston), a British agent and revolutionary spy who sees the treasure as something much bigger than personal fortune — a weapon that could help reshape colonial power.

With Hayley Atwell as Bess Hawkins and Tom Sweet as Jim, the series turns the familiar treasure hunt into a coming-of-age story as Jim is forced to grow from a sheltered teenager into someone capable of surviving pirates, betrayal and constantly shifting alliances.

From storm-battered Cornwall across dangerous seas to the mysterious Skeleton Island, everyone is searching for the same treasure.

But for Jim Hawkins, the real journey may be discovering who he becomes while trying to survive long enough to find it.
