Tip Toe Turns Two Neighbors Into Deadly Enemies

Leo and Clive have lived next door to each other for years.

Over the course of 10 days, that relationship begins to fall apart.

Created by Russell T Davies, Tip Toe stars Alan Cumming and David Morrissey as two longtime neighbors living on Calico Road in Manchester whose ordinary suburban lives become increasingly consumed by secrets, prejudice and fear.

Cumming plays Leo Struthers, a gay man who owns a bar on Manchester's Canal Street. Morrissey plays Clive Goss, an electrician living next door with his wife Marie and their two sons, George and Saul.

Their lives are already more complicated than either man realizes.

George is quietly beginning to come out, while his brother Saul has secrets of his own. Meanwhile, Clive becomes increasingly influenced by online misinformation and conspiracy theories, gradually changing the way he views Leo and the world around him.

When Clive begins working for Leo, the tensions between the two households grow even stronger.

Warnings from longtime activist Melba go largely ignored as suspicion becomes hostility and the relationship between two neighbors who once trusted each other begins moving toward something much more dangerous.

What starts with something as simple as Leo giving Clive a spare key eventually becomes a suburban thriller about how fear, misinformation and prejudice can enter ordinary lives, and what happens when people who have lived peacefully beside each other begin seeing one another as enemies.

Everything unfolds over just 10 days.

And by the time Calico Road reaches its breaking point, neither family will be the same.
