Winning awards was the easy part. Now the staff of The Truth Teller has to figure out what kind of newspaper it wants to become.

The Paper returns for Season 2, continuing the mockumentary set in the same universe as The Office. The documentary crew that once followed the employees of Dunder Mifflin has traded Scranton for the Midwest, where they've found a new group of personalities worth filming.

This time, they're following the staff of a historic Ohio newspaper struggling to find new life in a rapidly changing media world.

After the paper's surprising success at the Ohio Journalism Awards, Ned is looking for something bigger — a journalistic crusade that can prove the newsroom is capable of doing serious work.

He finds one in a local private club.

But Ned's determination to pursue the story could put the newspaper itself in jeopardy, turning his attempt to make a difference into a potentially costly gamble for everyone around him.

The newsroom is changing in other ways too.

Ned and Mare are forced to confront their growing attraction to each other, Esmeralda struggles to figure out where she belongs, and the rest of the staff slowly begins becoming something they weren't necessarily prepared to be:
