About North of North — Season 2

North of North Season 2 Gives Siaja Another Chance to Get Her Life Together

Siaja wanted a fresh start.

Now she's discovering that starting over is one thing.

Actually building the life you want is something else entirely.

North of North returns for Season 2 with Anna Lambe as Siaja, a young Inuk mother determined to take control of her future in the small Arctic community of Ice Cove, Nunavut.

After making some life-changing decisions during the first season, Siaja is ready to prove that she can do more than simply shake things up.

She wants to build something better.

For herself.

For her daughter.

And for the community she's always called home.

But as winter settles over Ice Cove, Siaja quickly discovers that ambition alone isn't going to get the job done.

At the community center, she's pushing her boss Helen (Mary Lynn Rajskub) to give her more responsibility, hoping to prove she's capable of taking on a bigger role.

At home, things are just as complicated.

Siaja is trying to learn more about a half-sister she never knew existed, while continuing to build relationships with her mother Neevee (Maika Harper) and her newfound father Alistair (Jay Ryan).

And then there's her love life.

Now divorced, Siaja is finally open to the possibility of meeting someone new, even if that simply means going on a decent date for a change.

Through it all, she's raising her daughter Bun (Keira Belle Cooper) while navigating the opinions, expectations and occasional interference of a community where everybody seems to know everybody else's business.

Season 2 also introduces the concept of pilimmaksarniq, an Inuktitut principle centered on developing skills through observation, practice and effort.

It's a fitting idea for Siaja, who's beginning to realize that changing your life isn't always about making one big decision.

Sometimes it's about showing up, putting in the work and learning from the mistakes you make along the way.

Created by Stacey Aglok MacDonald and Alethea Arnaquq-Baril, North of North continues celebrating Inuit life and community through humor, family relationships and the everyday challenges of figuring out adulthood.

Siaja has always believed the best is yet to come.

This winter, she's determined to stop waiting for it and start making it happen.

North of North Season 2 premieres November 5, 2026, on Netflix, with eight new half-hour episodes.
