NOCTURNE

Nocturne Sends a Detective Back Into a Serial Killer’s Game

Jonah Lynn left Philadelphia hoping for a quieter life.

Then Jurek Walter found him.

Liev Schreiber stars in Nocturne as Jonah Lynn, a former soldier turned homicide detective who leaves the violent streets of Philadelphia behind and relocates to a small town in western Pennsylvania.

The quiet doesn't last.

Jonah and his family become caught in the orbit of Jurek Walter, a calculating serial killer played by Stephen Graham.

Then something unexpected happens.

One of Jurek's presumed victims turns up alive.

The discovery gives investigators hope that another missing victim could still be rescued, but finding that person means getting answers from the one man who knows where they are.

Jonah turns to Saga Bauer (Zazie Beetz), an FBI agent and his protégé who has become like a daughter to him.

Her assignment is extraordinarily dangerous:

Get close to Jurek and make him talk.

As Saga goes undercover to penetrate the killer's psychological defenses, Jonah races against time to locate the missing victim while struggling with the consequences of putting someone he loves directly in the path of a man he knows is capable of manipulating almost anyone.

Based on Lars Kepler's internationally bestselling crime novel The Sandman, the 10-episode thriller also stars Rory Culkin, Poorna Jagannathan, Bill Camp, Chrissy Metz, Gary Carr and Landon Valentin.

Jonah knows catching Jurek requires getting inside the mind of a killer.

The question is how much of themselves he and Saga will have to sacrifice to get back out.

Nocturne premieres globally October 30, 2026 on Apple TV with two episodes, followed by new episodes Fridays through December 25, 2026.
