A little deeper
into the story.
Finding love can be wicked hard.
So 30 Boston singles are trying something different:
Getting engaged before they ever see each other.
Love Is Blind returns for Season 11 on October 14, bringing Netflix's dating experiment to Boston with Nick and Vanessa Lachey back as hosts.
The concept remains the same.
Singles enter the pods and begin dating from opposite sides of a wall, allowing them to talk, connect and potentially fall in love without knowing what the other person looks like.
If the connection becomes strong enough, there's only one way to meet face-to-face:
Get engaged.
Once the proposals are over and the couples finally see each other, the experiment moves into the real world. They'll live together, meet friends and family, plan their weddings and discover whether the emotional connection they developed in the pods can survive physical attraction, careers, lifestyles and everyday life.
This season's Boston group includes 30 singles between the ages of 28 and 40, with personalities and backgrounds ranging from a beekeeper and biotech engineer to a retired professional baseball player.
Eventually, every remaining couple will arrive at the altar with the same decision:
Do they marry the person they fell in love with without ever seeing them?
Or does everything that happens outside the pods change their minds?
Boston is about to find out whether love really is blind.
Love Is Blind Season 11 premieres October 14 on Netflix, with new episodes arriving Wednesdays through November 4.
