About Line of Fire
Line of Fire Puts a Family of Federal Agents to the Test
Protecting the country is the family business.
Protecting each other may be considerably more complicated.
Line of Fire stars Peter Krause and Hope Davis in a new NBC drama about a family whose lives are spread across some of the most powerful law enforcement agencies in the federal government.
Between them, members of the family work with the FBI, U.S. Marshals, Secret Service and Department of Justice, giving each of them different responsibilities, loyalties and ideas about where the line between duty and family should be drawn.
Those differences become much more important when a seemingly straightforward case reveals something far more dangerous.
A deadly conspiracy.
As the investigation grows, the family must combine the skills they've developed over years of protecting civilians, government officials and the country itself to uncover who's responsible.
But this time, the people they may need to protect most are each other.
Professional boundaries begin disappearing as the case becomes personal, forcing the agents to decide whether following their sworn code matters more than keeping their family alive.
Loosely inspired by executive producer Jenna Bush Hager's experiences around the U.S. Secret Service, Line of Fire combines a federal crime procedural with a family drama where solving the case isn't necessarily the hardest part.
These agents have spent their careers putting duty first.
Now they may have to decide what happens when duty and family are on opposite sides.
Line of Fire premieres Monday, September 21 at 10/9c on NBC, with episodes streaming the next day on Peacock.
