It Gets Worse is a six-episode comedy series from A24 that follows three university best friends discovering that life after college isn't quite the exciting adventure they imagined.

In fact, it's pretty much a disaster.

After getting evicted from their apartment, the friends find themselves navigating the increasingly uncomfortable realities of adulthood.

Their jobs are going nowhere.

Their love lives are a mess.

And their mental health isn't exactly thriving either.

But surely things will start looking up eventually.

Right?

Unfortunately, the title may already have answered that question.

Created by and starring Leo Reich, the series follows a group of twenty-somethings who are painfully aware that they're supposed to be building successful careers, developing meaningful relationships and figuring out who they want to become.

Instead, they're struggling to pay bills, survive embarrassing jobs and make it through another week without everything falling apart.

As their personal lives become increasingly chaotic, the one thing keeping them grounded is their friendship.

Even if none of them is particularly qualified to give the others advice.

The comedy also stars Emily Fairn, Olive Gray and Sean Delaney, alongside Dane Williams, India Mullen and John Tothill.

Guest appearances include Andrew Scott, Lena Dunham and Amelia Dimoldenberg, adding even more unpredictable personalities to the group's already complicated world.

Blending sharp humor with the uncomfortable realities of growing up, It Gets Worse explores that strange period of adulthood when everyone seems to expect you to have your life together — even though you're still trying to figure out how any of it works.
