Elsbeth Season 4 Brings New Cases and New Pressure to the 11th Precinct

New York has no shortage of murderers who think they're smarter than everyone else.

Fortunately, Elsbeth Tascioni is still very good at proving them wrong.

Carrie Preston returns in Season 4 of Elsbeth as the brilliant and wonderfully unconventional attorney whose unusual way of looking at people has made her an invaluable partner to the NYPD.

Originally introduced on The Good Wife and later appearing on The Good Fight, Elsbeth Tascioni now works alongside the NYPD as a consent decree attorney. But her natural curiosity and ability to notice the little things others overlook frequently pull her directly into murder investigations.

Season 4 brings another collection of cases featuring eccentric suspects and seemingly clever killers, with Elsbeth once again focusing less on who committed the crime and more on figuring out exactly how to prove it.

But murder isn't the only thing keeping her busy.

The new season introduces family drama and growing pressure inside the 11th Precinct, led by Captain C.W. Wagner (Wendell Pierce), as the relationships between Elsbeth and the people she works with continue evolving.

Her personal life is changing too.

After her relationship with Angus came to an end and her encounter with the charming but deceptive Mayor Alec Bloom complicated matters further, Elsbeth enters Season 4 with plenty of room for new surprises.

The murderers may think they have everything figured out.

Then Elsbeth walks into the room, asks a seemingly innocent question and notices the one thing they hoped everyone would miss.
