Dark Matter Season 2 Opens the Door to Another Dangerous Reality

Jason Dessen found his way home. Staying there may be the harder part.

Dark Matter returns for Season 2, continuing the mind-bending sci-fi story based on Blake Crouch's bestselling novel about alternate realities and the lives we might have lived if we'd made different choices.

Season 1 introduced Jason Dessen (Joel Edgerton), a physicist, professor and family man who is abducted one night and transported into an alternate version of his life.

At the center of the mystery is the Box, a device capable of accessing different realities, including countless versions of the lives Jason and those around him could have experienced.

After fighting his way through those possibilities, Jason eventually reunites with his wife Daniela (Jennifer Connelly) and their family.

Season 2 begins with the Dessens attempting to build a quiet life in a world that finally appears safe.

It doesn't stay that way.

An unimaginable new threat forces the family to run again, while Jason's growing obsession with the Box threatens the stability they've fought so hard to regain. At the same time, Daniela becomes increasingly paranoid about the dangers surrounding their family, pushing their relationship toward a breaking point.

Elsewhere in the multiverse, Amanda (Alice Braga) and Ryan (Jimmi Simpson) join forces in a desperate attempt to find their way home, while Leighton (Dayo Okeniyi) pursues his vision of creating a perfect world — with Blair (Amanda Brugel) determined to stop him.
