Boston Blue Season 2 Puts Danny Reagan at a Crossroads

Danny Reagan came to Boston looking for a new chapter.

Season 2 could change his life all over again.

Donnie Wahlberg returns as Danny Reagan in Boston Blue, the Blue Bloods spinoff that moved the veteran NYPD detective from New York to Boston and introduced him to another family deeply rooted in law enforcement.

At the center of Danny's new life is his partnership with Detective Lena Silver (Sonequa Martin-Green), a sharp investigator whose prominent law enforcement family has gradually welcomed Danny and his son Sean into their world.

Season 2 finds both partners facing major changes.

Danny begins considering a bigger leadership role within the Boston Police Department, while his relationship with longtime friend and former NYPD partner Maria Baez could potentially give him another reason to make Boston home.

Lena, meanwhile, is recovering after being shot and dealing with a family revelation that changed everything she thought she knew about her past.

And one major question remains unanswered.

Season 1 ended with Detective Brian Rodgers involved in a devastating crash that sent his vehicle into the water. Following a small time jump, the Season 2 premiere, appropriately titled “The Crash,” will finally reveal what happened to him.

As the Reagans and Silvers grow closer, new cases continue putting Danny and Lena on the streets of Boston while both families navigate secrets, relationships and changing futures.
