BLACK DOVES — SEASON 2

Black Doves Season 2 Pulls Helen and Sam Deeper Into a Deadly Conspiracy

Helen Webb has spent years living a double life.

Now her husband is about to become Prime Minister.

And keeping her secrets may be more dangerous than ever.

Black Doves returns for Season 2 with Keira Knightley as Helen Webb, the seemingly ordinary wife and mother who secretly works as a spy for a covert organization known as the Black Doves.

Her job involves gathering sensitive information and passing along government secrets to the organization she serves.

There's just one complication.

Her husband, Wallace (Andrew Buchan), is preparing to become Britain's Prime Minister.

That puts Helen dangerously close to the center of political power while forcing her to maintain a double life that could destroy everything she's built if the truth comes out.

Meanwhile, trouble is developing inside the Black Doves themselves.

Helen's mysterious handler, Mrs. Reed (Sarah Lancashire), becomes the target of a ruthless plot designed to undermine her position within the organization.

When an attack threatens Reed, Helen finds herself pulled into another dangerous investigation.

And she knows exactly who to call.

Sam, played by Ben Whishaw.

Once a highly skilled assassin, Sam has fallen on difficult times, spending his days drinking alone in Soho bars and taking low-paying assignments far beneath his former reputation.

But his troubles are about to get considerably worse.

Faced with a deadly ultimatum, Sam reunites with Helen as the two begin searching for answers about the conspiracy unfolding around them.

Their investigation takes them back into the world of old allies, dangerous enemies and unfinished business from their pasts.

And the deeper they dig, the more they discover that the people they once trusted may have their own agendas.

Season 2 also introduces several new faces, including Ambika Mod as Laila, a Black Doves agent assigned to assist Helen, Babou Ceesay as Mr. Conteh, a powerful figure within the organization, and Sam Riley as Patrick, a mysterious man offering Sam a possible way out of his troubles.

Neve Campbell, Sylvia Hoeks and Goran Kostic also join the cast.

With its mix of espionage, dark humor and complicated relationships, Black Doves continues following two unlikely partners who may be very good at keeping secrets but aren't nearly as good at escaping their consequences.

Helen is trying to protect her family.

Sam is trying to survive.

And this time, the greatest threat may be coming from inside the Black Doves themselves.

Black Doves Season 2 begins streaming exclusively on Netflix November 5, 2026.
