Black Clover Season 2 Brings Asta and Yuno Back
Five and a half years later, the journey to become the Wizard King continues.
Black Clover returns for Season 2 on October 3, bringing Asta and Yuno back for a new chapter after the anime's original 170-episode run.
Based on Yūki Tabata's manga, Black Clover takes place in a world where magic is part of everyday life.
Almost everyone has it.
Asta doesn't.
Abandoned at a church as babies and raised together, Asta and Yuno grow up sharing the same seemingly impossible dream: becoming the Wizard King.
For Yuno, that goal makes sense. He's a gifted magical prodigy with extraordinary abilities.
Asta, meanwhile, was born without a single trace of magic.
But everything changes when the two receive their grimoires, magical books that enhance their abilities. While Yuno receives a powerful grimoire worthy of his natural talent, Asta discovers something considerably more unusual:
Anti-Magic.
His rare grimoire gives him the ability to negate and repel the very magic everyone else depends on.
That turns what appeared to be Asta's greatest weakness into something that could make him one of the most dangerous fighters in the kingdom.
Friends, rivals and practically brothers, Asta and Yuno continue following very different paths toward the same destination.
Only one of them can ultimately become Wizard King.
