Join Prime VideoTravis 'Trav' Porter endeavors to follow in the footsteps of his grandfather, a legendary barber at the iconic "Calvin's" barbershop in Chicago. And while the barbers are new, the shop remains just as lively, the customers just as argumentative, and the fades are still the dopest in the city — because at Calvin’s, the community comes together for way more than just a haircut.

The chairs may have new faces.
But at Calvin's, everybody still has an opinion.
Prime Video's Barbershop brings the beloved comedy franchise back as an eight-episode series following a new generation inside the iconic South Side Chicago barbershop.
Jermaine Fowler stars as Travis “Trav” Walker, who returns to Chicago determined to follow in his grandfather's footsteps and become a barber at Calvin's.
But the shop he remembers isn't exactly the shop he comes home to.
Chicago has changed. Calvin's has changed. And Trav quickly discovers that finding his place among a new crew of barbers and longtime customers isn't going to happen simply because of his family's history.
Fortunately, some things haven't changed.
Calvin's remains more than somewhere to get a haircut. It's a neighborhood gathering place where people come for sharp fades, even sharper opinions and conversations about just about everything happening in the community.
The series continues the spirit of the movie franchise that began with 2002's Barbershop, starring Ice Cube as Calvin, a reluctant shop owner who eventually discovered that the business he'd inherited was much more important to the neighborhood than he realized.
More than two decades later, Trav is about to learn a similar lesson.
Becoming a barber might be the goal.
Becoming part of Calvin's is something you have to earn.
All eight episodes of Barbershop begin streaming February 10, 2027 on Prime Video.
