ABBOTT ELEMENTARY

Abbott Elementary Season 6 Brings a New Class of Problems

School is back in session at Abbott.

Which means the teachers are about to face another year of problems nobody covered during teacher training.

Abbott Elementary returns for Season 6 on October 7, bringing Janine, Gregory, Barbara, Ava and the rest of the staff back together at their underfunded Philadelphia public school.

Created by and starring Quinta Brunson, the workplace comedy follows a group of teachers who remain determined to give their students the education they deserve, even when limited resources, district bureaucracy and their occasionally chaotic coworkers make that considerably harder than it should be.

Season 6 introduces a new group of students and a fresh collection of challenges for the Abbott staff.

But plenty has changed among the teachers too.

After navigating their share of ups and downs, Janine and Gregory enter the new school year with their relationship back on track. Gregory also has a different role inside Abbott after becoming assistant principal, giving him new responsibilities and potentially an entirely new perspective on how the school operates.

Then there's Ava, which means predictability was never really an option anyway.

Across 22 new episodes, the teachers will continue doing what they've always done best: improvising, supporting one another and somehow finding ways to help their students succeed despite everything working against them.

New students.

New responsibilities.

Same Abbott.

And probably another school year nobody is completely prepared for.

Abbott Elementary Season 6 premieres Wednesday, October 7 at 8:30 p.m. ET/PT on ABC, with new episodes streaming the following day on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+ for bundle subscribers.
