9-1-1: Nashville Season 2 Brings Biblical Trouble to Music City

Station 113 has handled its share of emergencies.

Season 2 is about to introduce something considerably stranger:

Plagues.

9-1-1: Nashville returns on October 15, bringing the firefighters, dispatchers and families of Music City back for another season of dangerous emergencies and complicated personal drama.

The series centers on Captain Don Hart (Chris O'Donnell) and the first responders of Nashville Fire Department's Station 113, alongside Don's wife Blythe (Jessica Capshaw) and 911 dispatcher Cammie Raleigh (Kimberly Williams-Paisley).

Season 2 wastes no time putting the 113 back to work.

The premiere sends the team into a museum that's been overrun by murder hornets, but the bizarre emergency may be part of something much bigger happening across Nashville.

Enter Detective Rogue Kelly, played by new series regular Ryan Phillippe.

Rogue begins investigating a disturbing series of crimes and events that appear to have biblical connections, raising questions about why Nashville suddenly seems to be experiencing its own collection of modern-day plagues.

Meanwhile, there's plenty of trouble away from the emergency calls.

Season 2 picks up several weeks after the explosive confrontation between Blythe and Dixie (LeAnn Rimes), with both women facing the consequences of their fight.

Don isn't escaping the fallout either.

His actions have created a serious fracture in his marriage, forcing him and Blythe to confront questions of trust and betrayal that won't disappear simply because nothing physical happened.

Between murder hornets, mysterious crimes, family drama and whatever plague comes next, Station 113 has plenty to worry about.

And if the biblical theme continues, murder hornets may be the easy part.

9-1-1: Nashville Season 2 premieres October 15 on ABC, with episodes streaming the following day on Hulu.
