About Wildwood

Wildwood Sends One Girl Into a Hidden World on the Brink of War

Prue McKeel's baby brother has been taken.

Getting him back means going somewhere she's been warned never to enter.

From LAIKA, the studio behind Coraline, Kubo and the Two Strings and ParaNorman, Wildwood follows Prue McKeel, a headstrong teenager living near Portland, Oregon.

When a murder of crows abducts her baby brother, Prue watches helplessly as they carry him into the mysterious forest beyond the city known as the Impassable Wilderness.

So she goes after him.

Joined by her loyal but somewhat hapless classmate Curtis Mehlberg, Prue crosses into the forbidden forest and discovers that the wilderness isn't empty at all.

It's an entire hidden world.

Inside, talking animals, bandits and powerful figures control different corners of a magical society already being pulled toward war.

What began as a rescue mission quickly becomes something much bigger as Prue and Curtis find themselves caught between rival factions whose conflict threatens the future of Wildwood itself.

Peyton Elizabeth Lee voices Prue, with Jacob Tremblay as Curtis, as the two young outsiders navigate a world shaped by grief, ambition and secrets they never knew existed.

Directed by Travis Knight, Wildwood combines LAIKA's signature stop-motion animation with an epic fantasy story about family, sacrifice and discovering the courage to step beyond the world you know.

Prue entered the wilderness for one reason:

Bring her brother home.

Getting back out may require her to save Wildwood along the way.

Wildwood arrives exclusively in theaters October 23, 2026.
