Why Did I Get Married Again? Reunites the Crew for an Italian Wedding

The crew is back together — and apparently marriage hasn't gotten any less complicated.

Tyler Perry's Why Did I Get Married Again? reunites the longtime group of friends from the first two films, this time bringing everyone to Italy for a wedding celebration.

Sixteen years after Why Did I Get Married Too?, Marcus and Angela (Michael Jai White and Tasha Smith) are preparing to watch their daughter Jasmine (Armani Greer) marry her athlete fiancé, Wesley (Everett Osborne).

But bringing these families together also means bringing plenty of old baggage with them.

The wedding introduces Taraji P. Henson as Roselyn, Wesley's successful businesswoman mother and a longtime friend of the group whom audiences are meeting for the first time.

As everyone settles into Italy, secrets begin surfacing, relationships are tested and the younger generation starts discovering that the marriages they've spent years looking up to weren't nearly as perfect as they appeared.

That's particularly uncomfortable for the parents.

Seeing how much their children have grown up to resemble them forces the longtime friends to look back at their own relationships, mistakes and the examples they've set.

Returning cast members include Tyler Perry, Sharon Leal, Jill Scott, Richard T. Jones and Lamman Rucker, alongside White and Smith.

The original Why Did I Get Married? brought four couples together for a marriage retreat in 2007. Nearly two decades later, the friendships remain — but so do many of the questions.

Because after all the weddings, divorces, secrets, arguments and second chances, there's apparently still one question worth asking:

Why did they get married… again?
