The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth Takes Hollywood Into the ’70s

Eight years after his encounter with the Manson family, Cliff Booth is still in Hollywood.

Hollywood, however, isn't quite the same.

Brad Pitt returns to his Academy Award-winning role from Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood in The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth, a new crime story directed by David Fincher from a screenplay by Quentin Tarantino.

It's now 1977, and the Hollywood fairytale Cliff once inhabited has faded.

The former stuntman spends some of his time bartending and working as a projectionist, but he's also found another use for his particular set of talents:

He's a fixer.

When Hollywood's rich and famous have problems that can't necessarily be solved through normal channels, Cliff is the guy who can make those problems disappear, even when his methods aren't exactly legal.

His latest job begins when talent agent Karen Crosby (Elizabeth Debicki) contacts him on behalf of television star Charlie Peters (Scott Caan), an actor famous for performing his own stunts.

That assignment pulls Cliff into a new collection of Hollywood personalities, including Charlie's wife Toni (Carla Gugino) and professional football star turned actor Roderick “Hot Rod” Harrison (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II).

Then there are the Verdusco brothers, mysterious gangsters creating problems across Los Angeles.

Murder. Blackmail. Theft. Extortion.

For Cliff Booth, it's apparently just another summer in Hollywood.

The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth begins an exclusive two-week IMAX theatrical run November 25, before streaming December 23 on Netflix.
