Supergirl Sets September Streaming Premiere on HBO Max

Supergirl is making the jump from theaters to streaming.

DC Studios' Supergirl will make its global streaming debut on HBO Max Thursday, September 10, giving fans another chance to experience Milly Alcock's first solo adventure as Kara Zor-El.

The film introduces a very different Supergirl from her famous cousin, Superman.

Kara has spent her life traveling across the universe following the destruction of Krypton. Headstrong, worldly and sometimes reckless, she isn't interested in simply following Superman's example of what a hero should be.

When a dangerous new adversary strikes close to home, Kara reluctantly joins forces with an unlikely companion and sets out on an interstellar journey that forces her to balance her desire for vengeance against the pursuit of justice.

There's also someone particularly important depending on her: Krypto.

Saving her four-legged best friend becomes part of a much larger adventure that could ultimately determine what kind of hero Kara chooses to become.

Milly Alcock leads the film alongside Matthias Schoenaerts, Eve Ridley, David Krumholtz and Emily Beecham, with David Corenswet appearing as Superman and Jason Momoa joining the new DC Universe.

An American Sign Language version of the film will also begin streaming on HBO Max the same day.

Supergirl begins streaming September 10 on HBO Max, followed by its HBO television premiere September 12 at 8:00 p.m. ET.
