Dune: Part Three Brings Paul Atreides’ Story to an End

Denis Villeneuve returns to Arrakis for Dune: Part Three, the final chapter of his Dune trilogy and the continuation of Paul Atreides' rise from exiled heir to one of the most powerful figures in the universe.

Set nearly two decades after the events of Dune: Part Two, Paul now rules as Emperor.

But victory hasn't brought peace.

His reign has transformed the Imperium, leaving Paul to confront the devastating consequences of the power he fought so hard to obtain. Old allies begin returning, new enemies emerge and rebellion threatens to tear apart everything he controls.

With enemies closing in and betrayal potentially coming from those closest to him, Paul must decide how much more he's willing to sacrifice to protect the people he loves — and whether the future he's spent years trying to control can actually be controlled at all.

Based on Frank Herbert's 1969 novel Dune Messiah, the film brings Villeneuve's epic trilogy to its conclusion by exploring the darker side of Paul's legacy.
