BREEDER

Breeder Turns a Research Grant Into a Very Disturbing Offer

Russell desperately needs money to fund his research.

He should probably have asked a few more questions about where the money was coming from.

Breeder stars Daniel Doheny as Russell, a college student and dedicated researcher working on a potentially groundbreaking solution to help save the world's endangered bee population.

There's just one problem:

Nobody wants to fund it.

Then Russell receives an unexpected offer from Patti, an eccentric poodle breeder played by Dot-Marie Jones who lives off the grid on an isolated ranch.

Patti says she's willing to finance his research.

With few other options, Russell travels to the ranch hoping the unusual offer might actually be legitimate.

Almost immediately, something feels wrong.

Awkward encounters and Patti's increasingly strange behavior leave Russell wondering exactly why this woman is so interested in supporting his work.

Then he discovers the catch.

Patti will give Russell the money he needs, but only if he agrees to father a child with her daughter.

Suddenly, the isolated ranch feels considerably more difficult to leave.

What begins as a desperate search for research funding turns into a deeply uncomfortable thriller about ambition, desperation and an offer that was definitely too good to be true.

Russell came to the ranch trying to save the bees.

First, he may need to save himself.

Breeder arrives in theaters October 28, 2026.
