Angel and the Badman Gives an Outlaw One Last Chance

Quirt Evans has spent his life expecting violence.

Zachary Levi stars in Angel and the Badman, a new reimagining of the classic 1947 Western about a feared outlaw forced to decide whether a man can truly leave his past behind.

After being shot, Quirt Evans stumbles onto a ranch with a bullet in his back and little expectation that he'll survive.

Instead, he's taken in by a ranching family.

Their daughter Penny, played by Meg Fraser, cares for the wounded stranger and offers Quirt something his life as an outlaw never really provided:

A different way to live.

As he recovers, Quirt begins imagining a future that doesn't revolve around guns, revenge and constantly looking over his shoulder.

Unfortunately, his past isn't finished with him.

With a marshal closing in and a dangerous outlaw gang threatening the ranch and the people who gave him shelter, Quirt is forced to confront the violence he hoped to leave behind.

Protecting Penny and her family may require him to become the man he used to be, even as he's trying to prove he can become someone better.

The film also stars Neal McDonough and Tommy Lee Jones, bringing a new cast and perspective to the story first made famous by John Wayne in the original Angel and the Badman.

Quirt knows how to survive with a gun in his hand.
