A DOG'S PERFECT CHRISTMAS

A Dog’s Perfect Christmas Brings a Family Together When They Need It Most

Christmas is supposed to be a time for family.

But for the Goss family, the holidays are about to become much more complicated than anyone expected.

A Dog's Perfect Christmas is a heartwarming holiday drama starring Dennis Quaid, based on the work of bestselling author W. Bruce Cameron, whose stories include A Dog's Purpose, A Dog's Way Home and A Dog's Journey.

The story follows the Goss family, whose holiday plans are suddenly turned upside down when an unexpected medical emergency threatens to pull them apart.

With Christmas approaching, the family finds itself struggling to navigate uncertainty, emotional challenges and the responsibilities that come with caring for the people they love.

At the center of it all is a teenager, her grandfather and one particularly determined family member.

Winstead, their loyal basset hound.

While the humans around him struggle to hold everything together, Winstead seems to understand that something isn't right.

And he's not about to let Christmas fall apart without doing something about it.

As the family faces difficult circumstances, Winstead becomes an unlikely source of comfort, connection and hope, reminding everyone of the bonds that still hold them together.

But bringing the family back together before Christmas Eve may require more than a little holiday magic.

Directed by Cathryn Michon, the film features an ensemble cast including Milo Ventimiglia, Brooke Lena Johnson, Jennifer Tilly, Ethan Loomis, Kathleen Rose Perkins and Mary Steenburgen, alongside Quaid.

A Dog's Perfect Christmas explores the healing power of family, the importance of holiday traditions and the unconditional love that pets bring into our lives.

Because sometimes, when everything feels uncertain, the smallest gestures can make the biggest difference.

The Goss family may not get the Christmas they originally planned.

But with a little help from Winstead, they might discover the Christmas they truly need.

A Dog's Perfect Christmas begins streaming November 4, 2026, exclusively on Netflix.
